SHIRT:EVIL TWIN@ASOS JEANS:ASDA SANDALS:EVANS VEST:H&M SUNGLASSES:NEW LOOK

This is what i wore on my actual day of birth on Wednesday. I had a very, very chilled out day but it was no less lovely and big thanks go out to the people who made it so :)
I'm very much in love with this shirt at the moment because it stops me getting fried by the sun but doesn't make me stupidly hot (who loves sheer, i do!!). These jeans were a gamble though, i love pastels but mostly on other people or in accessory form so i was a bit nervous buying them, i love them now though so i guess they just needed gothing up a bit!

Just because i can, here are some other photos from the day:

I asked my flatmate to take OOTD pictures and she started with snapping me trying to get up. Nice!

Here's me and the flat mate responsible, 'scuse my eye, it was trés sunny.

Finally, here's a picture of me cruising round campus on my friends bike: loving life <3

birthday

I turned 21 on Wednesday 23rd May.
21.
WaahhhhaaatttttT?

instead of rambling on and on about time flying and growing up and all of that. I'm just going to post pictures from the party i had last friday, which was glitter themed. (I had glitter tequila jelly shots and a pint of glitter to glitter bomb people with and glittery cake and glitter nails!!!) It was beautiful. I just typed the word glitter SO much! :)

 DRESS:H&M SHIRT:ASOS CURVE SHOES:EVANS

I think the reason why twentysomethings are so fixated on age is because we feel a pressure to be a certain way at 23, at 25, at 29. There are all of these invisible deadlines with our careers and with love and drinking and drugs. I can’t do coke at 25. I need to be in a LTR at 27. I can’t vomit from drinking at 26. I just can’t! We feel so much guilt for essentially acting our age and making mistakes. We’re obsessed with this idea of being domesticated and having our shit together. It’s kind of sad actually because I don’t think we ever fully get a chance to enjoy our youth. We’re so concerned about doing things “the right way” that we lose any sense of pleasure in doing things the wrong way. Youth may be truly wasted on the young.

Morgaine: 20 Today

It feels so strange saying 20. I'm not so sure i like it just yet. I already feel like i can get away with less mischief : /

Here's a whole bunch of pictures of this evening starting with my outfit and then some shots of my meal with dad. We went for Moroccan food and a hookah pipe then on for one (un-pictured) drink.

BLOUSE:DOROTHY PERKINS SKIRT:TOPSHOP TIGHTS:EVANS SHOES:TORRID

I actually wore flat shoes with this in the end because the restaurant is all cushions blankets on the floor and sitting cross legged with wedges on for a meal is tricky. I am currently living in black tube skirt based outfits, it's just easy and comfy and i really fucking like it : )
For anyone interested the wedges are SO comfortable. It's like wearing flat shoes, honestly, i love them.

And now for lots of random pictures like the books i got as presents and the decor of tonight's food venue!
