Typical Winter Outfit

I think i made more of an effort on my hair than i did on this outfit but honestly, when it is constantly below zero degrees i will always default to a boots and hefty coat combo, always. I was on a random pointless walk with one of my flatmates when she took this for me, the hardwicke close sign has no relevance it was just a better background than some bins outside a corner shop!

So yesterday, for the first time in what seems like forever i consciously layered up. It was grey and wet out and i was spending my night in with a lovely friend so i guess comfort was the name of the game. I just realised; my clolour choices pretty much perfectly matched the weather!
Now it seems to me that everyone in England has had a proper little complain about this summer and how "we haven't really had one". Now we might not have had weeks of scorching heat waves but i for one am thankful for that! And the weather hasn't been bad at all. It's been humid as fuck for months (i won't get into my hatred for humidity...) the temps. have been warm and we've had some lovely clear days. I was actually cold last night, i'd forgotten what that felt like!
Weather rant over, this outfit and my reasons for wearing made me realise how much i'm looking forward to Autumn/Winter and wearing 4 layers and boots and thick fabric, i'm very excited : )

Anyone else looking forward to it as much as me? Help me out here people, i'm a bit worried i might be the only one!

OOTD: Simple Sunday

You might question why i would post such a simple outfit, but for me this is style at its best. Wearing something basic and comfy and feeling as good in it as a more "dressed up" outfit. I love these grey jeans and have been ignoring them for far too long. I am picky about blue denim so black and grey jeans are totally perfect for me but i did have to take the legs in on these so they were skinnier.

I have had such a wonderful, awesome, busy week and the blog did suffer a lack of posts, partly due to me spending all my time either working or seeing amazing people and partly because i was feeling a bit flat when it came to dressing myself, like nothing was good enough to post on basically. Think i'm back now though, my fashion mojo has recharged!

I have another outfit post to do tomorrow that will picture what my friend and i wore on Saturday night when we went out, it's the polar opposite of this one: totally dressed to the nines!

I'm now going to spend the evening eating a phat roast dinner with my lovely Dad in honour of Father's Day. It's going to end this perfect weekend, well, perfectly!

OOTD: Lazy

This is what i wore today for a quick shop and coffee avec mon papa. I'm going out later to see a friend's band so i'll be showering and getting changed, hence why i decided to throw on a very easy outfit.
Just realised how surprised i look in the 1st picture, like i found something in my top knot that doesn't quite belong there (i didn't, by the way).
I love the colour of these jeans so much but they're getting seriously worn out. The fabric they're made from is more jersey than denim so it's not long wearing at all: gutted!

Here's a close up of the bracelet, i basically haven't taken it off since i got it. Super cheap and simple but i likes it.

 

I will post tonight's outfit tomorrow if i get the chance to take pictures of it. So far the whole evening is a bit disorganised and i'm not 100% sure what's going on. I know i could take some whilst i'm out but if i'm really honest, it aint gonna happen - i'll be too drunk. Tonight is also a birthday drinks thing for little old me and i'm never one to shy away from an excuse to drink tequila : )

Even if it is 2 days before my actual 20th...
