this house is a circus

 SHIRT:EVIL TWIN@ASOS LEGGINGS:PRIMARK SCARF:EVANS

Two outfits in two days, I've impressed myself!
I love this shirt, in fact I love everything I'm wearing today. But I've got a problem.
I'm freezing cold.
It's winter now and i have completely fucking forgotten how to layer successfully.

I mean honestly, a long sleeve tee and a sheer shirt? What crack am i smoking? I was never gonna be warm!

I need to re-learn my winter fashion skillzz.
Because throwing a fur coat over everything is not good form!

Here's a picture of my face, slightly bewildered is my most used expression:

OH! My lippy is Barry M Punky Pink :)

gimmie shelter

TOP:PRIMARK JEANS:DOROTHY PERKINS SHOES:NEW LOOK

So i am baaacckkkk, and it feels awesome! I'll spare you the drawn out apologies and excuses. But i will say this, i've missed this so much!
This is just a regular "I'm off to town to spend money i don't have" outfit. I love primark's "mullet" tops; i have a couple and they're good with everything from skirts to jeans and leggings, i need versatile stuff in my wardrobe so i am a BIG fan.

You may have noticed that i have gone back a couple years hair wise and had my block fringe re-cut. I'm loving it a lot more this time round but i do still miss having all one length hair just because top knots are SO much easier that way. But this is cool, the sorta 60's vibe is niceeee.

Hopefully now i'm back in the game, posts will be much more regular, so see y'all soon!

Lady

DRESS:ASDA BELT:MARKET STALL SHOES:PRIMARK

Random Story: Got this dress mad cheap ages ago when i popped into an Asda in Bristol to buy pasta. It was like £4 or something.
The seams have ripped and been repaired (by me, skillzzz!) but whatever, £4, i shall not complain!

My hair has gotten so freakin long man!

Other notes about this post:
It proves a point i made HERE. That i have no set style aesthetic. Last OOTD was all grunge and boots and 90's hair. Today i look like a 1940's Italian Mamma minus some seamed stockings and a sensible heel.

Milk It

TOP:DOROTHY PERKINS SKIRT:H&M LEGGINGS&CARDI:PRIMARK BOOTS:DR MARTENS

Well this morning it was super hot and then just now it rained like typhoon season and got cold so my summer-y sleeveless OOTD turned into a winter one quicker than you can say "Fucking Weather".
For the record, it is now boiling hot again!

I'm off to see Brave this evening so i didn't backcomb my hair as much as i wanted to, i don't want to obscure anyones view y'know!

I achieve this 90's teenager look by sleeping with braids in and using a lot of cheap hairspray, it's my favourite :)

There's so much going on in the next two weeks i'm gonna be mad busy and probably without Internet until the 20th of September.
So basically this week & next week i'm gonna spam you guys as much as possible and then things might be sporadic whilst i move into my new place and have to bum Internet from coffee shops/libraries etc

Waves for Days

Back Story:
My hair is naturally thick and dead straight. Meaning that a lot of people take it upon themselves to tell me how jealous they are and how lucky i am whilst i continue to wish i was born with Rihanna's current 'do.
And also meaning that i have spent the last 10 years desperately searching for a way to curl/wave my hair that lasts more than 10 minuites (perms excluded!)

I've tried a selection of things, heated rollers, pin curls, tongs (toni and guy wide barrelled tong is waste of time amd money people - don't do it!) but nothing gave me the results i wanted.
Until i bought this:
The Remington Pearl Hair Curling Wand. Or in my eyes, The Magical Wonder Wand.
I did my research with this one, read tons of reviews and compared prices, ummed and ahhhed over it until pay day came and i took the plunge.
Now i've used it a few times and have got my technique down (no more burnt fingers, yeahh) i couldn't be happier with my purchase. It might not give my Woopi Goldberg in Sister Act 1 Close to Afro Luciousness but i can do a variety of waves, all of which last on my hair for at least 24 hours in normal conditions.

I definately reccommend this beauty to anyone looking for a good styling tool. Like i mentioned, it takes a while and a couple minor burns to get your technique down but after that it is *does Epic Meal Time Voice* Waves for Days Son!

Bows and Glitter

Due to the annoying unprovoked attack of nasty bacteria that was launched on my tonsils (i'm quite bitter about it all now, i really am, i can't stress how much i hate being ill) I've been stuck in the house today, bored out of my mind. So, as bored people do, i messed around with my hair and nails. This is the result. A big ass bow right on top of my head and red glitter obmre clawz. I am so cool!
: )

The hair is all my own and fully attached to my head by roots and follicles and shiz. And the nail varnish is Barry M Red Glitter.

Retail Therapy

Some purchases from Saturday; the day i burned a phat hole in my wallet (note use of the word "some" this is about half of what i bought)

SKIRT & SHOES - NEW LOOK

 TOP & BELT - TOPSHOP

HAT - H&M
RING - EVANS

Said i would do a post on what i bought! I'd actually pretty much forgotten that i'd taken these pictures until i read Steph's post on her recent buys so yeah, thanks for reminding me Stephanie!
Everything pictured here (apart from the hat) was bought on sale, so i got plenty for my money! I hadn't had a good long real life shop in ages so that was pretty dang fine but it didn't half make me remember how much i hate town on Saturdays, so busy! I'm usually a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to shopping, i head in on a weekday afternoon for a couple hours, i buzz round really quickly and i leave happy : )

One other thing i bought on Saturday was Directions Hair Dye in Lilac so as of yesterday afternoon my ombre is now purple:

What do you guys think?
Also, if you've scored any amazing bargains, please tell all : )

OOTD: Blue Flowers

I had a really crappy day at work. I'm so fed up of my job i could actually murder 99% of my fellow employees.
But i came home, got inspired and got dressed.

I find it amazing how an outfit can lift my mood. Dunno what it is, magic perhaps?

So yeah. I got my fashion on and went to Tesco. GLAM-O-ROUS.

DRESS&JACKET:DOROTHY PERKINS LEGGINGS&SHOES:EVANS BAG:MARKS AND SPENCER SCARF:H&M

Big shout out to Ulrika at The Red Rosette for inspiring my hair today! She rocks the top knot like no other and all though i still feel a bit sumo wrestler-esque i managed to wear it outside my bedroom today : )

I actually posed for my pictures today, I'm not sure what's going on. I'm for sure bored of just standing still though, i want to get my ANTM on. Make my body all crooked and smile with my eyes!

I've worn the plain black version of this dress for a previous OOTD. I adored these dresses when they first came out and sometimes wish I'd bought more colours and patterns because they're so easy to throw on and dress up or down. I put this together in 2 minutes.
I gotta mention the bag, Marks and Sparks Christmas sale 2 or 3 years ago was £35 i bought it for £6.50! The only problem with it is the strap is a bit short for me to wear on my shoulder but lets face it, that's hardly the end of the world!

I'm getting a new tattoo done tomorrow and I'm going out for my friends birthday so you guys will get one picture heavy post I'm sure!
Until then...

Peace & Love.

OOTD: H&M Skirt and new do

Got my hair did today, a friend from school who now works at Jeff Goodwin Hair in Exeter cuts it for me. She used to come over when we were 14 and cut my hair in the living room and I'd make tea and be a great hostess in return : )
I have a phobia of hairdressers in general because i tend to build an image of what i want and it's never quite right when i leave a salon (mostly my fault i know but hey) plus i hate that silly holiday small talk and the following hour of me trying to explain what historical reenactment is (because that's what i do instead of traditional holidays) and half the time i do not have the energy to do that so i end up lying and going "oh yeah, I'm going to Spain, it'll be great" and i don't go to the hairdressers to lie.
Wow, hair salon rant there, whoops.

Back on track: i took myself along to the salon on my bike and this is what i wore:
CARDIGAN, SANDALS, NECKLACE, LEGGINGS:EVANS SKIRT:H&M TOP:DOROTHY PERKINS

I hate this picture, partly because i had to use flash, partly because I'm having an off day when it comes to accepting my face and partly because i really feel like the photo doesn't do the skirt justice. It's a new addition of mine and i think I've seen other bloggers in it. It has the best big slouchy pockets on the front and cream chiffon lining (I'm a sucker for cute details). Rest of the outfit is pretty basic. Got the rose cameo necklace in the online sale, shoes in the sale, top in a sale, cardie in a sale. Bargain clothes day really.

I'm loving my new hair. I've had a full fringe before so it's not a huge change but it has been a while. I'm lusting after a really full Bettie Page fringe a la Beyonce and Katy Perry but that will have to wait until the dead of winter because it'll be impossible to pull back on hot days.

What do you guys think of my do? I know a few of you have had haircuts recently, consider yourselves inspiration : D

Peace Out.
