Ideally I would have worn this without the cardigan but I burnt my arms and got this weird shoulder tan line that I really do not want to get darker. So every day I'm in the sun it's a toss up between very accurate sun screen application or just bunging a top over it. I'll give you one guess which one always wins.

I love this top, even if my boobs make the dog's face look weird.

Things I like about this outfit is that when the heat gets, well, hotter, I can strip til I'm just in the jersey and lounge around my house like the sloth I truly am. If I'm honest, I did that pretty much as soon as I'd taken these photos. Maybe one day I'll OOTD that instead, if y'all are interested in seeing another British person deal terribly with the summer heat we all moan about not ever getting.

So whilst this is neither exciting nor particularly well shot. Here is a post. I'm enjoying the sunshine but it doesn't exactly inspire me style wise - I feel like clothes are evil if I'm honest.

All That She Wants

TOP/DRESS/WHATEVER:PRIMARK

I don't know how you're supposed to wear this. It feels like something I should wear to bed, which is probably why I like it so much. I'm not usually game for clothes with random writing, and two people have already asked why I have a top with "Chips Life" written on it. I wish it said chips life, it would match my personality better than Ohio Life.
I've never been to Ohio, I don't know much about it. But chips, I am a professor of chips.

So I suppose it's not unfair to say that part of my prolonged absence was down to the weather.
Don't call bullshit just yet, I promise it makes sense.

It has been cold. Very cold. Cold as balls.
And I have basically been wearing the same thing every day:
Layers, warm/sensible boots, scarf, hat, coat.

I mean I am buying less and less clothes these days because quite frankly, eating is more important! So I just recycled the same 4 outfits this winter. With very little variation.

So yeah, warmer weather means more options, thus, more blog.

Also, summer clothes tend to be cheaper due to them not needing to be made of whole bears or whatever.

I'm glad the ice age is over.

Teen Idle

I felt very much like I was inspired by my 16 year old self this morning. I'm wearing my Dad's "cool skull earring" in one ear and a classic pearl stud in the other. I have silk flowers in my messy up do and I've thrown a cut up home tie dye top over a dress. Add to that the fact it's freezing and I thought a hoody was a sufficient coat. I've basically regressed. I look back on most of my style choices with absolute embarrassment, but sometimes I can do a bit a of a throwback and not throw up.

I am gifted with friends who, quite frankly, are nuts. So when I start having a few pictures taken for Le Blog (in my glamorous kitchen of all places) one of the aforementioned nutters decides to jump in on the action. I'd post where Elliot got his clothes from but I have no clue and lord knows I'm not calling to ask. I do know however, that he's only wearing those shoes because they were, and I quote "The only ones without a hole in the bottom". The No Hole rule probably applies to his jeans as well!
He'll probably kill me for saying that :)

Getting Festive

I went to Birmingham Christmas Market again this year, just like last year. There's a shit load of pictures from the day on Instagram (check the links to your right!). It's become a tradition for me and my housemate :) I bought a stupid amount of warm winter-y goods including this jumper and then, as we decided it was apt to do so on December 1st, when we got home we put the tree up. We called it Uni X-Mas Eve and the next day we had a pretty epic roast cooked by moi as it was, obviously, Uni X-Mas Day (that's when these pictures were taken).

It's really nice to set aside a bit of time to spend with my Worcester Family for christmas-y things, we played board games and everything, before heading back to Exeter for the actual holidays :)

So i'm sat watching Miami Vice (the TV show) and I get the sudden overwhelming urge to blog. So I scramble around my hard rive and find these beauties from a couple of recent nights out.

Where I basically wore the same outfit.

Oh well, if it aint broke, don't fix it!

The belt in the top picture and dress in the bottom are recent additions that I truly love and intend to get LOTS of use out of. What you cant see in this picture is that the ASOS dress has a lovely wrap style design to the front so is quite different from the H&M fit and flare number :)

Gotta love your boozed up friends and the fact that, even after a few too many lemonades, they can still take a decent outfit shot!

So, I don't mean to small talk you guys and gals but, the weather here has been shocking! What was Worcester Racecourse is now a lake and the main road up my side of the river is almost fully submerged. And, yeah, you guessed it, it's still raining! I mean i'm not saying send help but, Noah has wi-fi on the arc right?

I suppose the one good thing to come out of all this rain is that I realised I had no warm shoes apart from my DM's. So I got cosy new boots, which i'll share tomorrow.

Wait, those boots cost money, which I don't really have.

SO THIS WEATHER HAS DONE NOTHING POSITIVE!

This post is all about these leggings.

I love them.

I physically have to stop myself from wearing them every day. I mean i'm a sucker for fashion but let's face it, comfort comes before anything really, at least on a day to day basis. And you don't get more comfy than leggings. I don't care if that makes me sound like a 1980's housewife!

I guess the pattern and colour is a really good way to make my outfit more interesting and they make me feel so 90's; i swear i had a pair like these as a kid. I told my friend Elliot they're my 90's Interpretive Dance Leggings, pretty accurate description if you ask me!

The lipstick i'm wearing is a wicked matte coral colour in the Kate Moss Rimmel collection, i can't really be bothered to grab it and write the details now but i'm gonna post on my new lippys this week so you'll find out soon enough :)

So i am baaacckkkk, and it feels awesome! I'll spare you the drawn out apologies and excuses. But i will say this, i've missed this so much!
This is just a regular "I'm off to town to spend money i don't have" outfit. I love primark's "mullet" tops; i have a couple and they're good with everything from skirts to jeans and leggings, i need versatile stuff in my wardrobe so i am a BIG fan.

You may have noticed that i have gone back a couple years hair wise and had my block fringe re-cut. I'm loving it a lot more this time round but i do still miss having all one length hair just because top knots are SO much easier that way. But this is cool, the sorta 60's vibe is niceeee.

Hopefully now i'm back in the game, posts will be much more regular, so see y'all soon!

Well this morning it was super hot and then just now it rained like typhoon season and got cold so my summer-y sleeveless OOTD turned into a winter one quicker than you can say "Fucking Weather".
For the record, it is now boiling hot again!

I'm off to see Brave this evening so i didn't backcomb my hair as much as i wanted to, i don't want to obscure anyones view y'know!

I achieve this 90's teenager look by sleeping with braids in and using a lot of cheap hairspray, it's my favourite :)

There's so much going on in the next two weeks i'm gonna be mad busy and probably without Internet until the 20th of September.
So basically this week & next week i'm gonna spam you guys as much as possible and then things might be sporadic whilst i move into my new place and have to bum Internet from coffee shops/libraries etc

So, this is pretty standard hoody/tee/jeans combo. I'm wearing it a lot of late, to the point i might have to implement a Mean Girls Fashion Rule, y'know jeans once a week kinda thing.

This hoody is my absolute favourite thing ever and i want all the other colours and it's actually Primark Men's because all good hoodies come from the section made for dudes. But hell, if 14 year old emo boyz can buy women's jeans then damn it i can buy a hoody that is supposedly somehow different because it;s made for a bloke...

The next couple of pictures are me attempting to show you mt Barry M Mint Green Nails and the shoes i would wear if i was leaving the house.

Weihnachtsmarkt

Friday is the only weekday that i don't have lectures this semester so this week i decided to go a bit nuts and spend the day in Birmingham. Normally i spend it in pajamas!
The Frankfurt Christmas Market is on sooo, on top of all the usual shopping brum has to offer there was Glühwein and lights and homemade awesome stuff :)

I headed up on the train with a flatmate and we spent the whole day walking around, i introduced her t the wonders of the Selfridges and warm krispy kremes, NOM. We were pretty much frozen solid by the end of the day and my feet were seconds away from falling off but it was worth it. I got so much xmas shopping done!

Where to begin with this outfit. I love it, all of it! And so much is new.

The is the coat i've been meaning to post on forever, it's wool blend and warm and beautiful and it cost the grand total of £10, no one can understand the love i currently have for Primark sales!!! Speaking of Primark, the tights are the super cosy ones they sell, i had to cut the feet open and wear them as leggings because my legs are stupidly long but they didn't disapoint, my legs were toasty all day.

I was wearing a lot of layers and wool so i wanted to soften it up a bit with the chiffon-y Tesco top, i really like how it came out and i know the pictures aren't fantastic but i'm sure y'all can kinda see what i mean, right?!?!

After my day out blowing savings and not doing work it is back to the grind today, hello essays and line learning! On a plus note however i go home to Devon a week today and i will, like last time, be posting tons!!

Home Time

For the first time since i moved up here about 7 weeks ago i am going home to beautiful, lovely Devon AKA The Shire.
I'm very excited to have 5 days in very comfortable surroundings and i'm even more excited to spend a huge amout of time with my Dad : D and of course my greatly missed friends too!

Thought i'd do a little OOTD today and drafted my flatmate in for help taking the photos (TIP: don't mention you did photography A-Level to a blogger who's having issues taking self portraits, you will become an unpaid member of staff) It was proper grey and raining so we only took a few but i'm pretty happy all the same.

I have pretty much lived in this cardigan since buying it, it's so easy to wear in a million different ways, i just can't help myself. The booots are new too, at £15 they were quite the bargain and i'm pretty happy that Primark has started doing wide fitting size 9 shoes! I Made these earrings years ago out of two shell necklaces from Tesco and i tend to wear them a lot when i have my hair up.

I'm gonna aim to do an OOTD every day until Friday whilst i'm back at home with my lovely spacious room and blank walls and i'll either post as i do them or leave it til next week.
