Walking The Dog

TOP:DOROTHY PERKINS SKIRT:NEW LOOK CARDI:EVANS SHOES:VANS BELT:GIFT

He's not my dog, but if the sun is out and the bestie says "Wanna walk John?" i never say no :)

This skirt is one f the bargains i found on Sunday, £5 as far as i'm concerned is pretty dang fine. Plus it has pastel colours in the print so helps me stay bang on trend (not that trends really bother me but i do like the pastels thing).
My hair is doing some cray stuff in these photos, not sure what is going on to be honest but never mind, i only noticed once i got in the car to go the pub so i was wandering around all afternoon looking rather silly! I had such a lovely day though, just sunshine and beautiful places with one awesome person. It is good to be home!

On a random but not so random note, i got these Vans at least 5 years ago and they're starting to fall apart. I know they're super popular now but i was wondering if anyone knew whether the quality is the same? Any long term Vans Fans out there? I just don't want to splash the cash to be disappointed. Answers on postcards :)

New Shirt

I think i fell in love with this top the second it went up on ASOS Curve. It's now in the sale which is a bit lame but i got it with 25% off when they did the crazy big student discount for a couple days so maybe not sooo lame. I might have also bought myself a Clarisonic Mia and a new bag... Maybe :)
I'll probably do a post about the Clarisonic once i have used it for a few weeks because, well because i can and also because my two cents on the matter won't do any harm!

I am back at home for Easter now so hopefully between writing an essay and brainstorming ideas for a performance i can whack out a few OOTD's up against my lovely white bedroom walls <3
I went shopping tday just for the hell of it and picked up a couple of sale bargains that i want to share so yeahhh, look out for posts ASAP!!!

One Month Later...

TOP:ASOS CURVE SKIRT:H&M CARDI AND SHOES:PRIMARK SUNGLASSES:DOROTHY PERKINS

So for various and really not very interesting reasons it has been exactly one month since i last posted. And i just realised that the weather in my last post was sunny like this one, but don't be fooled into thinking we've had a month of pure spring, oh no, this is England my friends, that just doesn't happen (all though we are technically in a drought). I can't believe i'm making small talk on my own blog! I swear i am interesting :)

I bought this top years ago in the first ever ASOS Curve sale i raided and i have barely worn it but i'm loving the print s much i've worn it twice this week! I decided to pair it with this skirt because i've actually been living in jeans, leggings or joggers of late and i fancied a bit of a change :D
Pretty much everything else you see is standard, so i guess this is a post dedicated to my top half!

I'm currently tyring to make my blog layout a bit nicer/cooler or whatever so if it;s all a bit messy, apologies :) i'm gonna make a new header and an about me, i just have to find the time to do it between uni, life and catching up on TV, like New Girl and Spartacus Vengeance (polar opposite tv shows right??)

Details

Went to a friend's gig last night. Hadn't had my eardrums torn to shreds by live hardcore in a while and plus my beautiful friend Lauren was there so i got to say farewell to her.
Put together what i thought was a crackin' outfit but i've packed my tripod so decided to focus on detail shots of a few things.

I'm so i love with the skull and axes earring. I found it with some beads and buttons; turns out it used to be my dad's! From back in his biker/rocker/punk days. The rest of of the ear stuff is fairly standard and for those interested i'm wearing a Doroth Perkins dress and an Evil Twin shirt from ASOS.

In other news i am all packed up and ready to move into my new room at uni tomorrow. Just have to pack away this beast of a laptop and i'm done. Tonight i'm off to my Grandparent's house which is pretty much the halfway point distance wise, we're going out for a meal to celebrate a couple of birthdays and my move into higher education and hopefully doing something worthwhile with my life :)
I'll probably be offline for a couple of days whilst i settle in but should be back in full force by the middle of next week.
Wish me luck 'all!

Tie Dye For

Let me tell ya: It's post titles like that, that make me think i should give this all up for a life of stand up comedy gigging!

Out of nowhere i have become intensely obsessed with tie dye. I don't know what's happening or where this has come from but i'm craving it. I am craving Tie Dye.
Too many bad 90's t-shirts mean i'm steering clear of most colourful stuff. Dark blues, black, grey and white are my favourites. Those same bad 90's t-shirts mean i'm also much more into simpler patterns, no stars or spirals, just stripes and splodges.

I love these £22 Topshop leggings a whole lot:

But, i think, i desperately need me, a Tie Dye Maxi!
Y'all know i've been living in maxi skirts/dresses recently, they have undoubtedly become my summer wardrobe staple! With that in mind and this whole hippy tie dye obsession going on i have decided (spurred on by this Micheal Kors number) to DIY myself a Tye Die Maxi Masterpiece. It's going to be epic!
I get paid on Thursday so i'm gonna go shopping for all my ingredients and then i think this weekend might well be the weekend. I plan to fully document the process and outcome so look forward to a post on that next week!
If any of you lovely people have DIY-ed a maxi or tie-dyed before, tips would be greatly appreciated. I can sew, and i did some tie-dye when i was like, 7, so i feel pretty confident, but i like to over prepare so flood me with advice please : )
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

OOTD: Clashing Prints

DRESS AND CARDIGAN:VINTAGE EVANS SCARF:H&M

Okay, so, most subtle example ever of clashing prints but still; I'm wearing two different patterns people, huge steps have been made!
Not entirely sure what i'm doing in the top picture, probably trying to look all nonchalant despite the fact that inside my head all i'm thinking is 10 second self timer is too fast, must buy remote, must buy remote.
I only put a nice outfit on today because i went to town to pick up my new bike (£200 gone because when i bought my original one i was too stupid to know that I'd need more than 6 gears) I honestly haven't left the house much recently apart from work (sad, i have no friends) so there have been no missed OOTD opportunities.
I've posted on this dress before here, in case you want some back story! The scarf is lovely, someone waiting in the loooooong line to pay had just left it on a rack and i stumbled across it and gave it a home. The colours in it inspired my little thumb nail flower:

Quick thing to mention: hit up the ASOS Curve sale ladies because it is amazing. Just bought a new coat and top. You can actually see a bit of the coat hanging up behind me in the top two pictures. But seriously, i paid less than £50 for the two, and the prices have since gone down again (GRRRR) so yeah, crack out the plastic!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I've got cycling, tidying and film watching planned, wild; i know!

OOTD: Double Trouble

A double whammy of outfit-ness today people!

SHIRT:NEW LOOK DRESS:DOROTHY PERKINS LEGGINGS:ASOS CURVE SHOES:EVANS
Bit of a remix going on here. I wore this dress with my mesh insert leggings here. I always say these dresses are easy to wear. And i stick to that statement. Having my ink healing means trying to keep it out in the open as much as possible. Which in turn means knee length leggings being the base of most of my outfits. This is such a typical outfit for me: a dress, some plaid, messy hair and dressing it all up with make-up!

DRESS:SIMPLY BE (I ALSO WORE THE SAME EVANS SHOES AS ABOVE)

Going out for curry this evening inspired a change of clothing. This dress was bought on sale for a drama exam. I swear my best dresses were bought as costumes! I decided to take the belt and put it round my top knot. I thought it might look a bit too coordinated but then i remembered the scene from save the last dance where Julia Stiles gets her gap top ripped up and tied round her head. Y'know the one?
This dress always makes me feel summery and bright. I used to have this complex about it being too red because I'm so used to black and darker colours, but I'm totally over that now! : )

I did some major charity shopping today and picked up a lovely new grey flannel shirt (yummy!) for a cool £4.30 from The British Heart Foundation Shop.
Probably gonna flash that about tomorrow and may post a picture. But I'm gonna do my Favourite Fall Fashions post first. I have been mentally planning it all week!

Peace Out.
