Ideally I would have worn this without the cardigan but I burnt my arms and got this weird shoulder tan line that I really do not want to get darker. So every day I'm in the sun it's a toss up between very accurate sun screen application or just bunging a top over it. I'll give you one guess which one always wins.

I love this top, even if my boobs make the dog's face look weird.

Things I like about this outfit is that when the heat gets, well, hotter, I can strip til I'm just in the jersey and lounge around my house like the sloth I truly am. If I'm honest, I did that pretty much as soon as I'd taken these photos. Maybe one day I'll OOTD that instead, if y'all are interested in seeing another British person deal terribly with the summer heat we all moan about not ever getting.

Another day lazing about in the sun. When there are no assignments to be handed in, uni life really is the dos they talk about :)

One of the perks of having an art student flatmate is they can work your big DSLR and take your photos with no fuss, one of the downsides, i suppose, is that they insist on "experimenting" by putting their sunglasses over the lens...
Hence the sepia, gradient shit going on! But it's okay cos she's a free photographer and i am eternally grateful!

This is what i wore on my actual day of birth on Wednesday. I had a very, very chilled out day but it was no less lovely and big thanks go out to the people who made it so :)

I'm very much in love with this shirt at the moment because it stops me getting fried by the sun but doesn't make me stupidly hot (who loves sheer, i do!!). These jeans were a gamble though, i love pastels but mostly on other people or in accessory form so i was a bit nervous buying them, i love them now though so i guess they just needed gothing up a bit!

I asked my flatmate to take OOTD pictures and she started with snapping me trying to get up. Nice!

One Month Later...

So for various and really not very interesting reasons it has been exactly one month since i last posted. And i just realised that the weather in my last post was sunny like this one, but don't be fooled into thinking we've had a month of pure spring, oh no, this is England my friends, that just doesn't happen (all though we are technically in a drought). I can't believe i'm making small talk on my own blog! I swear i am interesting :)

I bought this top years ago in the first ever ASOS Curve sale i raided and i have barely worn it but i'm loving the print s much i've worn it twice this week! I decided to pair it with this skirt because i've actually been living in jeans, leggings or joggers of late and i fancied a bit of a change :D
Pretty much everything else you see is standard, so i guess this is a post dedicated to my top half!

I'm currently tyring to make my blog layout a bit nicer/cooler or whatever so if it;s all a bit messy, apologies :) i'm gonna make a new header and an about me, i just have to find the time to do it between uni, life and catching up on TV, like New Girl and Spartacus Vengeance (polar opposite tv shows right??)

All i can think is WTF are my feet doing??? I'm sure no one would have noticed if i'd kept quiet but SRSLY? They look mad crazy.

I've spent my weekend shopping for a Robin Hood costume, eating Doritos and listening to Johnny Cash. This was a perfect combination of warmth and comfort. I should have worn boots though, hello blue ankles! I double up on bottoms right now, today was one pair of primark super cosy footless tights underneath new look leggings. I still haven't found the best place to buy decent opaque leggings, all mine are quite see through/bad quality. Any suggestions? I hear American Apparel are good but it seems expensive...

OOTD:Lunch in Culottes

I had work this morning but met my lovely friend Hayley for lunch this avvy.
We went to Wagamama, which i love, really really love, and i wore this...

(those sunnies are the ones mentioned but not pictured in Accessories Sunday No. 1)

I honestly never thought I'd wear culottes but i love these. They're silk and i love the pattern and cut.
They are a bit big due to the fact i ordered a size above what i usually would because i wanted them to be quite floaty and loose. It does mean that the waistband doesn't stay sat where i want it to but it doesn't bother me too much and i can adjust them if it starts to.
I wore them quite casual today but if i threw them on with a blazer and heels it'd be a great smart outfit.

Over all i gotta say I'm a culotte convert. I don't think I'll go out and buy 8 pairs because these are perfect and i don't think I'll find any elsewhere that I'll like as much.
But i felt great wearing those today and I'd have never of even considered them before, which i think is proof of how much fatshion blogs have changed my views and inspired me.
I'm grinning up a storm.

Accessories Sunday No.1

So, i have decided, over the next few Sundays, to do a bit of a feature on my personal collection of accessories.
I'll post what i own, info about each item and things I'd like to add to my collection.

The first Accessories Sunday is going to belong to:
my insane collection of sunglasses and other glasses.
(please excuse the bed hair, it is a Sunday after all : D) (oh and, I'm pulling a bass face in the first picture which is why i look a bit strange)


The top pair are Primark from last year, they were my favourites for a long time but do look a bit too small for my head, however they were only £1 and have lasted a long time.
The other pair are from New Look and with various discounts and offers only cost me £3-ish which is great considering Topshop are selling these for somewhere around £15.
They are my new favourites!!



These all came from Primark fairly recently and all cost £1, i did have a black pair too which were my go to sunnies but they broke as i was taking these pictures : (
Have you spotted a bit of a theme? Like, cheap retro style glasses are my favourite!
I have to say until these i pretty much stuck religiously to black so it's nice to inject some colour, I'm really diggin pastel accessories right now.



This is my collection of straight up, non sun, glasses. I have near perfect vision so they're all fake.
The top and bottom pairs are more costume things, but the middle pair have been worn quite a few times with everyday outfits.
The whole geek/fake glasses trend appealed to me a lot because since i was a kid i loved wearing glasses, i always knocked lenses out of sunnies and wore grandma's half moon specs. Dunno why, just liked it.



Finally we have my "Feel the Love" Glasses.
Top pair were 98p in Primark, bottom pair, the XXL Feel the Love Glasses, were free from Tesco because i found them on a shelf with no barcode and customer services said it wasn't a Tesco product so i could take them (AMAZING!!)

I do have one more pair of sunnies i just remembered about, they are a £5 Tesco version of the round frame half tint Chanel's from a couple years back.
I love these, a lot, but can't find them right now so no picture I'm afraid!

Right, now for my wish list.
As you can see i do not need any more sunglasses, but i do however want more.
I want a pair of Aviators that look right on my face, but finding these is like finding a needle in a haystack.
I'd also like THESE, but i refuse to drop £120 on sunnies.
And i also love THESE, and will, i think, be purchasing them soon!

So that's a wrap on my first Accessories Sunday. I think it went well.
And if you think i have a problem with collecting sunglasses, wait until i cover my scarves!!
