More Christmas

These are just pictures from my phone which I snapped over the few days of Christmas (despite being very busy!). Starting off with Christmas Day Morning, featuring the traditional family brekkie of biscuits and my smashin festive PJ's!

Cooking for everyone this year, as much work as it was, was actually really lovely and made me really appreciate how much my Grandma usually does for everyone. Anyway, here is some food (there was no holly left to decorate the pud).

These last two pictures are just favourites from all the ones I took. The first being my favourite tree decoration and the second being the EPIC den I built.

You can just about see BFF Zeke's face in the last photo. He came to pick me up from my Grandparent's and take me back to Worcester. We've spent the last three days lazing about something chronic. Abusing Netflix and eating far too much. He left this morning to got to Hull for New Years and, well quite frankly I can't believe it's the 31st already.

The days between Christmas and New Year have apparently been non existent!

I'll write a goodbye 2012 post later. Even though I'd rather stay in denial about New Year.

Merry XMas

This is me, right now, ASOS Playsuit and White Wine :) It might be Boxing Day but I'm still on duty: SO MUCH COOKING! (We have 4 straight days of roast dinners!). I've been snapping away on Instagram if you fancy having a gander and as of the 28th i'm back to regular life in Worcester so shall resume posting properly.

Christmas has come around so quickly this year and has passed with just as much haste, it's a shame but I've had a lovely time and hope you all have too!!!

Blogging Day

Yeah, i am re-naming Boxing Day!

Just thought i'd share a few Christmas pictures, i sparsely documented my day with Instagram which i have become re-addicted to of late, i think it might be the ease of using it when there is a high speed wireless Internet connection (something my Uni, sadly, does not offer!).

I was extremely lucky to get the most amazing set of pressies this year! Everything from a LUSH gift card to beautiful quilted blanket and of course enough edibles to feed me for the rest of winter :)

I hope everyone else had an amazing day or if you're yet to celebrate then i hope it goes well! I ended up drinking a jug of rum, lime and lemonade, covering myself in glitter and flowers and raving it up with my cousin before calming down and watching the Inbetweeners Movie - Genius!

My Dad, in all his beardy wisdom and glory, is a wiccan, soooo; me and him do the whole Yule thing. We never make a huge fuss and for me a lot of it is an excuse to spend proper time with my Daddy (even more so now i'm no longer living at home). On occasion we go out and we have done the sunrise shindig before but more often than not we exchange one gift each, cook and eat a big fatty meal and then chat or watch telly or play scrabble (all accompanied by wine or port or whatever booze is in the house!).

This year i made what can only be described as an super huge and tasty Italian inspired feast and it was proper lovely. I took a bunch of instagrams throughout the day so prepare to be spammed!

Weihnachtsmarkt

Friday is the only weekday that i don't have lectures this semester so this week i decided to go a bit nuts and spend the day in Birmingham. Normally i spend it in pajamas!
The Frankfurt Christmas Market is on sooo, on top of all the usual shopping brum has to offer there was Glühwein and lights and homemade awesome stuff :)

I headed up on the train with a flatmate and we spent the whole day walking around, i introduced her t the wonders of the Selfridges and warm krispy kremes, NOM. We were pretty much frozen solid by the end of the day and my feet were seconds away from falling off but it was worth it. I got so much xmas shopping done!

Where to begin with this outfit. I love it, all of it! And so much is new.

The is the coat i've been meaning to post on forever, it's wool blend and warm and beautiful and it cost the grand total of £10, no one can understand the love i currently have for Primark sales!!! Speaking of Primark, the tights are the super cosy ones they sell, i had to cut the feet open and wear them as leggings because my legs are stupidly long but they didn't disapoint, my legs were toasty all day.

I was wearing a lot of layers and wool so i wanted to soften it up a bit with the chiffon-y Tesco top, i really like how it came out and i know the pictures aren't fantastic but i'm sure y'all can kinda see what i mean, right?!?!

After my day out blowing savings and not doing work it is back to the grind today, hello essays and line learning! On a plus note however i go home to Devon a week today and i will, like last time, be posting tons!!

Happy Easter Sunday

Easter = a holiday i often forget is religious.
"Oh, Jesus died and then came back to life? I thought it was just all chocolate and shit."

After two days of perfect spring weather we are now once again under a blanket of grey here, that's not a complaint though, just an observation!
This morning i went to the family brunch of the people i am staying with, i stayed pretty quiet and ate my amazing french toast (with bacon, i don't get 'mericans) but everyone was really lovely and welcoming. The place we ate at was at the Fisherman's Terminal, which, just to let you know, is where they keep the Deadliest Catch boats in the non fishing season.

I am now entering my last full week in Seattle. And whilst i am more than ready to be at home, i will miss this city, yessir.
It is very difficult to explain how much this trip has given me & how much i think it will continue to give even after i leave.
I've been keeping a journal, expressing myself in words and drawings. Some is my own original stuff, some is lyrics and sentences i've stumbled across whilst here that i felt summed up a feeling or thought i was having.
I'm really looking forward to doing my monthly round-up post and i'm also going to do a separate Seattle post.
I want to share what this trip has given me so it will be word heavy but there will be pictures too, samples from my journal, photos i have taken & images i have found.
I am so excited to share my real journey with you lovelies : )

OOTD: Clear and Bright

So yeah, last couple of days we have had some fine ass weather. Which is just ironic as far as i'm concerned seeing as how i am sick as a dog with a major cold.
But illness or no illness this blog continues and so i present to you today's outfit.

This top is from my recent New Look order, it;s nice, a little on the short side for me but it works really well with a tank/vest under it or tucked into a skirt. On the website it looked black and white but it's more black and oatmeal; nice but annoying when you thought you'd found the striped tee you'd been dying to get hold of.
Jeans, shoes and cardi are all standard issue and have been written about before.

More on the New Look stuff though. The animal print cropped t-shirt did not arrive, i guess it went out of stock right before i ordered it. I have to guess because i never got an explanation. I didn't bother asking questions because i wasn't charged for it but it would have been nice to get an email or something saying "Hey, no cool tops left, soz. Won't be in your package."
I'll write about the other top when i wear it, it's cool though, hanging in my wardrobe begging to be worn!


Oh yeah, HAPPY PANCAKE DAY! and HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY. or as i refer to it "day of the wimmins"

Two Thousand & Eleven

2010, a year of:
hearing words like "austerity" and "coalition" more and more, making new and amazing friends, trying new things just for shits and giggles, planning my travels, tears, good food, beautiful music, reading brilliant books, behaving like a child, worrying about tax for the first time ever, applying to university, learning that although i want my family to be happy their happiness cannot come at the cost of my own, being afraid, realising that you have to know you're hurt before you can heal, starting my beloved blog, reeling in my shopping habits (i am proud of this), taking more pictures than you can shake a stick at, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, switching to an all new as natural as possible skin and haircare regime and damn it's good, a new found confidence, remembering that as long as i tried my best then that's all that matters, bike rides, rum, mud wrestles, pantomime, being inspired, dedicating more (but still not enough) time to being creative, sunshine, snow and everything in between, living in the moment, a new bedroom and much much much much more.

I make no rules and set no boundaries for 2011.

I have a lot planned; a month in the states, university, London + Blogger Meet, but i want to go with the flow. After 2011 i will be a student and then hopefully a career woman of some sort. This could be my last chance to let go control of my life almost completely and that is an opportunity i am not willing to miss.

I wish every person who reads this all the love and luck and joy in the world for 2011.
Be fearless, break rules, have fun, love, laugh, cry, eat, drink and be merry.
This is your year, your life, your time to shine : )

I got a variety of things including a new camera, some Lush goodies, chocolate, time with my family, A NASTY TOOTH ACHE (LAME), two books and a dvd!

I feel amazingly grateful, lucky and thankful and i feel a bit overwhelmed (it's probably the mix of hormones, pain killers and alcohol that's doing this)


I'd just like to add that one of the best presents ever is this blog, it was a gift from life and the internets and the constant inspiration and drive it gives me is a blessing i will never cease to be thankful for!
