Happy Song

First day back at Uni after a few weeks break and it's an odd but good feeling. I feel a bit out of the swing of things and I've missed people a lot but I'm excited. All my modules are ace this semester and I'm just ready to bring my A game and learn, cos learning is fucking cool.

The whole below the knee skirt thing is a bit weird for me but I'm loving it with my new chuck t's (thank-you 25% student discount at ASOS!!) It's really sunny today so I've dressed like it's warm but I bet outside is actually going to be awful and I'll have to cover this up with a huge coat. Ugghh.

HOODY:PRIMARK JEANS&T-SHIRT:DOROTHY PERKINS

So, this is pretty standard hoody/tee/jeans combo. I'm wearing it a lot of late, to the point i might have to implement a Mean Girls Fashion Rule, y'know jeans once a week kinda thing.

This hoody is my absolute favourite thing ever and i want all the other colours and it's actually Primark Men's because all good hoodies come from the section made for dudes. But hell, if 14 year old emo boyz can buy women's jeans then damn it i can buy a hoody that is supposedly somehow different because it;s made for a bloke...

The next couple of pictures are me attempting to show you mt Barry M Mint Green Nails and the shoes i would wear if i was leaving the house.

I am such a dufus. I <3 it.

Well this is my "It's Sunday & I can't be fucked." Outfit. Not bad for the stuff that was literally closest/easiest to put on :)

After a long time really hating shorts, diy-ing all my old jeans into cut offs has made me fall pretty hard for them,  if only we had some sunny weather for me to feel like they were appropriate (LOL, i am never appropriate!) but seriously though, it's July now, we've had about 3-4 weeks of nice weather in this whole year, i dunno, it'd be nice to have some more, kthx.

These trainers are my ultimate super awesome bargain trainers. Sometimes i get a bit pissed that i have large feet because i never really like the colours they make in my size but at £25 in the sale down from like £80, i freaked out when i saw these and made a lot of my male friends prettttyyyy jealous by snaggin' the last pair, sorry boys!

seriously, i might even try and find a reason to leave the house today (smoking in the garden doesn't count!) i'm diggin this whole get up. It's amazing what a pair of earrings and some nice shoes can do to bed hair and a tee i grabbed of the floor (no shame)

TSHIRT:TESCO/DIY SHORTS:THRIFT/DIY CARDIGAN&TIGHTS:EVANS BOOTS:DR MARTENS

So, so, soooo many pictures i know, but i freakin love this outfit. I dyed the t-shirt and cut up the shorts all by myself :) I was so happy with how the tee came out but the shorts need more work, I'm thinking more rips and some studs...

Considering i am now home for summer, the weather has been abysmal! I'm talking torrential rain and grey skies pretty much solidly since i left Worcester. Part of me is all, fuck you English Summer because i can't ride my bike and my pictures are all dark and fuzzy, then the other part is actually pretty okay with it, cos i can get my goth on without worrying about my face melting off!

The lipstick in this post is new (it's this amazing dark purple grape-y colour despite these pics making it look black) and it has inspired me to start doing some make-up/general beauty products posts. So yeah, keep an eye out for those!

It's good being home because of my beautiful white walls that make a perfect backdrop <3

The lighting in my room is so shocking all my pictures are rubbish at the moment, sry guyz :/ This is really a typical outfit for me at the moment. Sort of tomboy-ish? I dunno. I mean i spend 90% of my time living in my Dr. M's too and i think they have a more masculine edge. I actually really love this colour combination, the muted green/khaki with the dull burgundy of the hoody, it's all good :)

I'm seriously debating chopping all my hair off at the moment, it would just be easier and, well, easier. I've had it short before but i can't seem to get myself 100% that it's the right thing to do. It hasn't grown in a while and i'm very bored and the ends are in terrible condition from bleaching.

And what i'm really saying is: thoughts?? Let me know please!

So this is the kinda number i feel most comfortable in at the moment. It's easy to put together, easy to wear and super easy to dress up/down. Today i went for the edgy//girly//comfy thing. The weather is still uber mild so i can get away with thin tights and just chucking my leather jacket on top, which is madness considering this time last year i was wearing 4 layers as standard and still turning blue on my walk to work because it was -12C!!!!!
These boots might be the best investment i've made in a long while, i 'aint really taken them off since getting them and i thoroughly recommend that we all own a pair :) I got mine from cloggs.com, who aren't paying me to say that.... they're the most awesomest shop evaaaa. The have great offers, competitive pricing and if you buy shoes from them they send you 20% off codes all the dang time, so if you're a bit of a shoe-a-holic then go to them, or don't, but definitely do.

It's technically Winter Solstice right now but i'll post on that properly tomorrow, or y'know later today :) #latenightbloggingforthewin

Morning 18/7/2011

VEST&TOP:H&M JEGGINGS:EVANS BAG&JACKET:ASOS SHOES:NEW LOOK

This morning was a little bit annoying, these pictures are about the only good thing to come out of it. I woke up to rain and a completely failed pin curl that left me with 70's porn hair (hence the up do). I usually walk to work in my uniform but i couldn't face a day in wet clothes so decided to wear this for the walk.

It's just another good example of a really simple casual outfit liiiike; this. The jacket is from ASOS Curve and i bought it in the sale after desperately wanting it since it first appeared but apparently not enough to pay full price : )
I'm so in love with my new bag, i think it makes this ensemble really. I've always been black only when it comes to everyday bags but i can see that changing now!

I'm off out to dinner tonight. Wagamama's with my lovely friend Hayley. No idea what i'm wearing but if it comes out good i'll post on it tomorrow, along with pictures of all out tasty food!

OOTD: Double Trouble

A double whammy of outfit-ness today people!

 

SHIRT:NEW LOOK DRESS:DOROTHY PERKINS LEGGINGS:ASOS CURVE SHOES:EVANS

Bit of a remix going on here. I wore this dress with my mesh insert leggings here. I always say these dresses are easy to wear. And i stick to that statement. Having my ink healing means trying to keep it out in the open as much as possible. Which in turn means knee length leggings being the base of most of my outfits. This is such a typical outfit for me: a dress, some plaid, messy hair and dressing it all up with make-up!

DRESS:SIMPLY BE (I ALSO WORE THE SAME EVANS SHOES AS ABOVE)

Going out for curry this evening inspired a change of clothing. This dress was bought on sale for a drama exam. I swear my best dresses were bought as costumes! I decided to take the belt and put it round my top knot. I thought it might look a bit too coordinated but then i remembered the scene from save the last dance where Julia Stiles gets her gap top ripped up and tied round her head. Y'know the one?
This dress always makes me feel summery and bright. I used to have this complex about it being too red because I'm so used to black and darker colours, but I'm totally over that now! : )

I did some major charity shopping today and picked up a lovely new grey flannel shirt (yummy!) for a cool £4.30 from The British Heart Foundation Shop.
Probably gonna flash that about tomorrow and may post a picture. But I'm gonna do my Favourite Fall Fashions post first. I have been mentally planning it all week!

Okay. I SUCK at blogging this week.
I have a very busy brain, besides all the usual day to day things i have some family issues going on that also require processing. I'm not about to get all personal or anything, i just feel like i owe an explanation to the lovely people who read this blog of mine!

I'm currently wearing an almost identical outfit to the one seen in THIS post except the jeans are blue and the top is black.

I can't stress my love for these jeans enough. I worship them, like a deity! And the top was love at first sight so when i went back and saw it in black, i was smiling from ear to ear.
I swear i form relationships with all of my clothes, no joke, i fall in love with items of clothing. I'm this close *hold fingers 1 inch apart* to giving some of my dresses names : )
I made the earrings from two necklaces i bought in Tesco ages back, they're just big and shell, nothing amazingly special but go well with tons of things.

Once again i am sorry for being a rubbish blog lady right now. I am trying but I'm sure you all know how it is when you're mind is like a box full of fireworks all going off at once, it's hard to concentrate.
